Hi Ya'll. Thanks to those of you who posted what you're doing to get through the sugar challenge. I'm pretty much just trying to walk around like someone who just doesn't eat sugar. Like I'm diabetic or allergic or disgusted by it or something. Not that that's always easy... I think a lot each day about how much I really LOVE that flippin' sugar! But, I'm just NOT eating it.
This is a big mind f*ck for me, too. I very much want to not be so consumed with my thoughts about what I can/can't have. I'm looking forward to the time when not eating sugar is the norm for me... surely that will come by the end of the 30 days, right?
I was craving something sweet after lunch today, so, instead of going for a fresh baked cookie, I grabbed a bag of local oranges (which happen to be THE best oranges I've ever eaten). One orange did the trick. Easy as that! And, fruit is good for you! Bonus.
Some sneaky/habitual sugars to watch out for, off the top of my head...
condiments - honey mustard
salad dressings - a lot of them have sugar/honey added... ask your server.
chai - usually made w/ honey
bread & butter or sweet pickles
